D.D.S./Graduate Program- Dentistry
Format: Campus
The School of Dentistry features a modern physical plant with well-equipped clinics, modern laboratories and other teaching facilities to provide an excellent dental education for students. The present building has been renovated to provide each student with an individual operatory to facilitate the updated curriculum and extend greater opportunity for clinical training. The process is part of a continuing modernization of clinic areas and equipment and an innovative reorganization of the program in dental studies.
*The AEGD program is an ADA-accredited one-year clinical program with a non-accredited two-or-three year option. Upon successful completion of all clinical and didactic requirements, a certificate is issued. There is no tuition for this program and the resident receives a generous stipend.
*The dental biomaterials program is a non-accredited 2-year program leading to a master's degree and is comprised of courses from the School of Dentistry and the College of Engineering.
*The specialty programs of endodontics, orthodontics, (2-year programs) and prosthodontics (3-year program) are clinically and research based, offering a specialty certificate and a master's degree. Graduates are prepared to handle complex clinical cases and to work effectively with both general dentists and other dental specialists.
