Program Description:

Utica College offers an online MS in Nursing Education.

This 42 credit hour program, can be completed in as few as 28 months. Students are expected to take 6 credits per 16 week semester, or one class every 8 weeks.

As a nurse educator, you fill a valuable role in reducing the nursing shortage - teaching nursing excellence to others and preparing the next generation of nurses for advanced roles.

The Educator curriculum requires 180 hours of practicum experience working with qualified nurse educators.

Nurse Educators earn an average salary of $69,130 and expect employment to grow 24% through 2026.

Nurse Educator Certification: The curriculum is designed by experienced practitioners to support your preparation for Certification for Nurse Educators (CNE) through the National League for Nursing (NLN). WHile the program does not culminate in you gaining this credential, the curriculum has been designed by experienced practitioners with the certification in mind.

The master's degree programs in nursing (Family Nursing Practitioner [FNP], Leadership and Education) at Utica College are pursuing accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Applying for accreditation does not guarantee that accreditation will be granted.

A post graduate Certificate in Nursing Education is also available.
