Information Technologyspans organizational information systems, application technologies, software methods and technologies, and systems infrastructure. It focuses on meeting the needs of users within an organizational and societal context through the selection, creation, application, integration and administration of computing technologies and resources. The Master of Science in Information Technology is a 36 credit-hour program with three concentration options:
A graduate with a master’s degree in Information Technology (IT) will have the ability to: (1) communicate information technology concepts, designs, and solutions effectively and professionally; (2) apply knowledge of information technology to produce effective designs and solutions for specific problems; (3) use software development tools, software systems, and modern computing platforms; and (4) use current technologies and tools and apply best practices to develop real-world solutions (e.g., applications, deployments, etc.).
