Education Specialist: Curriculum and Instruction: Educational Psychology
Format: Online
Liberty University’s 100% online Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Curriculum and Instruction – Educational Psychology is designed to help education professionals foster their students’ cognitive and psychological development. Through this non-licensure program, individuals who work as teachers, administrators, and curriculum specialists can gain an in-depth understanding of how students learn and retain information – enabling K-12 education practitioners and higher education professionals alike to better meet the needs of their students. In this Ed.S. program, students will explore the psychological foundations of teaching and learning, the cognitive processes involved in learning, and human development across the lifespan. With this knowledge, students can prepare to help meet the unique needs of learners from kindergarten to college. The Ed.S. is a great option for students who want to bolster their credentials without committing to a full-length doctoral degree. After completing this program, students can apply up to 27 Ed.S. credits toward Liberty’s Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Curriculum and Instruction – Educational Psychology program – giving them a head start on their doctorate if they decide to further their studies later on. Upon graduation, students can pursue roles as college/university administrators, curriculum specialists, instructional supervisors, professors, school administrators, and teachers.
