Program Description:

This STEM-designated program combines traditional accounting education with data analytics. Graduates will have the ability to analyze large sets of financial data and make informed decisions.

The curriculum includes a diverse list of accounting and analytics courses including Big Data and Business Impact, Enterprise-Wide Accounting Information Systems, and Introduction to Data Analytics/Business Intelligence. Students will also take courses that cover the uniform commercial code, in-depth analytics and accounting or tax research. Students can choose electives including an option to for graduate internships.

Ideal candidates include:
• Individuals with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Professionals who already have some accounting experience and are looking to move into roles that require data analysis.
• Those who are tech-savvy and want to be at the intersection of accounting and technology.

Students can complete the 30-credit program in 12-18 months, taking courses both online or on-campus, and pursue roles such as certified public accountant (CPA), accounting systems analyst, business intelligence analyst, data analyst in accounting, financial data scientist or predictive analyst in finance.
