For over 26 years, the Master of Arts in Leadership program has been developing leaders for organizations, the community and society. Organizations seek leaders with a vision that is ethically and morally responsible and who have an understanding of how change occurs and how it can be managed. Leaders need a sensitivity to the complex problems of the organization and an ability to find solutions consistent with their mission. They must have an understanding of diverse population and be culturally competent. Importantly, leaders must have the ability to inspire and motivate people to work toward a common goal. These qualities are the focus of the M. A. in Leadership program. Courses are scheduled for working adults and the degree can be earned in about two years. A leadership certificate and MBA/MA in Leadership Dual Degree are also available options.
Augsburg College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
