Program Description:

Prepare for an in-demand career that helps improve the lives of others—become a professional counselor. Earn your Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling with the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University to develop the skills you need to empower clients to heal their lives and cope with difficulties. Our program offers you: -Rigorous course content – Establish your abilities to perform and evaluate research, carry out assessments, provide diagnoses, and counsel patients; -Extensive fieldwork—Apply what you learn in the classroom to practicum experiences in community organizations; -Faculty mentors—Study with professors and instructors who are high-achieving leaders in the field; -Standards-aligned curriculum—Our program incorporates educational requirements and professional standards from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, the Masters in Counseling Accreditation Council (MCAC) and the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Programs (CACREP) 2009 Standards. After completion of your coursework and internship hours, you will be eligible to apply for licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California. If you wish to practice in another state, additional requirements may apply.
